My Makeup Must-Haves // Current Makeup Favorites

A soft glam look using my favorite makeup products. On me is a simple yet elegant off the shoulder midi-dress.  The wrap top with balloon sleeves makes it very stylish. I’m wearing sz 2 (fits TTS) in Gray. It comes in a variety of colors and is currently 50% off!

Makeup has a way of making me feel beautiful and confident.  It’s amazing at highlighting natural beauty, while also covering up imperfections.  Most days I like to keep it light and to a minimum and for special occasions I go more glam.

The amount of makeup products out there can be overwhelming.  Over the years, I’ve tried a variety of cosmetics to find the best makeup that works for me.  Today, I’m sharing some of my all-time favorites that I’ve been using for years and new favorites that I can’t get enough of.  If your makeup bag needs a refresh or you’re looking for something new, I hope you find a product you’re excited about and want to try!

See how I use all of these products to create a soft glam here.

Skin

Moisturizer

It’s so important to prepare and hydrate the skin before applying any makeup to avoid it looking cracked or flaky.  Since I have normal to dry skin, I look for nourishing ingredients that provide a lot of moisture. This is especially important during the winter when my skin gets extra dry.  I recently started using this face milk with turmeric oil, almond milk, camu camu, and licorice, which helps to improve the look and feel of skin.  I use it every day to brighten my skin, even when I’m not wearing makeup.

Face Primer

I’ve tried so many and this has been the best primer I’ve ever used by far.  It’s lightweight and applies smoothly, giving me a warm, even tone and glow – sometimes I even skip foundation.  It’s made with probiotics, prebiotics, turmeric, and chia seeds to even skin tone over time.

Eye Primer

I use this eye balm in Rose Glow under my eye every day – with or without makeup.  It contains probiotics, superfoods, rosehip oil, and rosewater. It has an amazing cooling effect that energizes and brightens my eyes.

Face

Foundation

It used to be a challenge to find the right foundation shade.  Those days are over for me because this foundation in 320 BIS W is perfect on my skin!  With 50 shades to choose from, this lightweight and long-wearing foundation leaves a velvety matte finish.  I also love that it’s a buildable coverage foundation, so I can have light coverage during the day and add more coverage for special events or evenings.

Concealer

This is the best concealer (in Porcelain) I have ever used.  It glides on so smoothly, feels weightless on my skin, and doesn’t cake or crease.

Setting Powder

After applying foundation and concealer, I lightly dust my face with this setting powder in Translucent.  I’ve been using this for years and it works wonderfully to reduce shine and set my makeup in place.

Bronzer + Blush + Highlighter

I love contouring my face with these match stix in Medium.  It comes in a set of three to conceal, contour, and highlight.  The trio has a cream to powder formula that blends seamlessly and is easily applied.  I use the dark shade to sculpt my cheekbones, jawline, forehead, and nose. Then I use the light shade as a base on my eyelids.  Lastly, I use the shimmery shade to highlight my cheekbones, the center of my nose, and my cupid’s bow (the top edge of the upper lip).

I use this longtime favorite bronzing powder in Hoola to soften and create depth to contouring. Another longtime favorite is this blush in Orgasm.  It’s the perfect color to add a healthy flush to your face.

Eyes + Brows

Eyeshadow

I love showcasing my eyes because it’s the first feature someone sees when they look at you.  For eyeshadow, this is my absolute favorite eyeshadow palette in the Peaches and Cream Collection.  They’re highly pigmented with a matte finish in warm peach, buttery cream, and rich brown tones – perfect for day and night!

Eyeliner

I don’t wear eyeliner all the time but when I do, I love using this great and inexpensive liquid eyeliner in black.  It has an ultra fine felt tip brush that gives you precise definition and glides on smoothly for a perfect winged eye.  When I line the bottom of my eyes I use this eyeliner pencil in Perversion.  It glides on easily and is long-lasting, which makes for a great smudge-proof smokey eye.

Mascara

Since I have eyelash extensions, I only use mascara on my lower lashes.  I’ve been using this drugstore mascara for the longest time because it adds a lot of volume to my lashes.  I also recently tried this mascara and it works well to separate and volumize my lashes.

Brows

I had semi-permanent ombre powdering done to my eyebrows over a year ago, so some of the definition has started to fade.  To enhance my brows, I use this brow powder in Medium Brown.  It gives me a light and natural brow effect until my next touch up.

Lips

I love changing my lip color based on my mood or outfit and ended up with a bit of a lipstick collection.  When I want to keep it simple, my everyday go-to lip combo is this lip pencil in Iconic Nude and this lipstick in Very Victorian.  The lip pencil is rich and velvety, applies smoothly, and is the perfect nude color.  The lipstick is matte, but very hydrating, in a nude taupe (not too pink) color. Together they give me an enhanced, natural-looking lip color that’s perfect for day and night.

I also like this highly pigmented matte lipstick in Interview for a dusty rose color.  When I want something more glam I use this pink brown liquid lipstick in Allison, this brown berry liquid lipstick in Kathryn, or this deep red liquid lipstick in Sarafine.

Setting Spray

My makeup stays long-lasting with the help of this setting spray.  It has an ultra fine mist (unlike other brands with a regular spray bottle), which creates a seamless spray in just one touch. I also like this and this one with SPF 30.   It’s inexpensive and works great in locking my makeup in place all day and night.
