Italy Home Rental // Family Vacation

We made it to Italy!  Here we are, settling into our Airbnb in the charming fishing village of Conca dei Marini, enjoying the amazing view from the outdoor terrace.

The first half of our trip began in the Amalfi Coast with visits to the gardens in Ravello, beaches in Positano, Lemon Farm in Amalfi, and a cruise to Capri – while enjoying all the pasta and gelato we found along the way! Now, we’re on our way to Rome, where we’ll finish out the second half of our trip.  I can’t wait to share all of the sights and eats from our travels!

In the meantime, I wanted to share some details of our amazing home rental.  When traveling with a large group (this time it was 5 adults and 2 kids) we prefer renting a home via Airbnb, VRBO, or Homeaway instead of booking multiple hotel rooms – we usually find them to be more comfortable, spacious, and a much better value.  Our 4 bedroom, 3 full bathroom place had a crib, pool, terrace, outdoor dining area, and several lounge areas, which is more features than other rentals we looked at and plenty of room for all of us.  It’s located in Conca Dei Marini, which is a 15 minute drive to Amalfi and a 30 minute drive to Positano, with some restaurants and a supermarket nearby.  Note there are a lot of stairs throughout the house to access most areas.

Our host was very responsive and welcomed us with pastries, fruits, and wine.  Each morning, we made breakfast in our kitchen, which was stocked with pots, pans, kitchenware, and basic seasonings.  After a long day of sightseeing, it was great to be able to cool off in the pool before enjoying dinner on the outside terrace and winding down with some wine in one of the many lounge areas.  We truly enjoyed our stay here and it was a perfect home away from home to relax and enjoy this part of Italy!
